Understand the differences.
Ask what a test measures and how panels compare. Read the full test information alongside the explanation to understand your options.
Example question: “What does this panel include that the other one doesn't?”
When your results arrive
Read the numbers with an explanation.
Your report contains the laboratory results. An optional summary explains them in plain English, and you can ask follow-up questions about that report.
Example question: “What does this marker measure?”
Over time
Come back with more context.
Return to earlier reports and compare results over time. Your history gives you a record to refer to when you have another question or a conversation with your GP.
